Converting between image formats is necessary when a platform only accepts specific file types, when you need to reduce file size without resizing, or when moving images between workflows that require different formats. This tool converts between JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, and HEIF in any direction.
JPG is the best format for photographs and images with complex colors where file size matters most. It uses lossy compression, which means very slight quality reduction at high compression levels, but files are significantly smaller than PNG equivalents. Use JPG for product photos, profile images, and any photo-heavy upload.
PNG uses lossless compression, preserving every pixel exactly. It is the right choice for screenshots, diagrams, logos, images with text, and any image where sharp edges and exact color accuracy are important. PNG files are larger than JPG but maintain quality through multiple save cycles without degradation.
WebP is a modern format that delivers smaller file sizes than both JPG and PNG at comparable quality. It is the preferred format for web use - supported by all modern browsers - and is increasingly required by website platforms and CMS tools. HEIC and HEIF are the default photo formats on Apple devices. Converting HEIC to JPG or PNG makes images compatible with Windows, Android, and web-based tools that do not support HEIC.
Batch conversion is supported: upload multiple images and download a ZIP containing all converted files.

Yes. HEIC and HEIF uploads are supported when the server has HEIC support enabled, making it useful for iPhone photo conversion workflows.
Use JPG for widest compatibility, PNG for graphics or transparency, WebP for smaller web-friendly files, and HEIC when you want a modern high-efficiency photo format.
Transparency is preserved in PNG and WebP output. If you convert a transparent image to JPG, transparent areas are flattened onto a white background.
Yes. The tool supports common web image conversions in both directions, including WebP to JPG and WebP to PNG.
